President's
Welcome
Ken Miller is the new president of the Van Nuys Flight Center. The Van Nuys Flight Center, Inc. has operated successfully on the Van Nuys Airport for over 18 years. The company has always had the highest standards with the best fleet of aircraft on the Van Nuys airport. Mr. Miller intends to maintain and enhance this strategy.
We
proudly represent Cessna Aircraft Company at Van Nuys Airport, the #1
General Aviation airport in the world! We are known as the Cessna Superstore
for a number of reasons.
Prior to the purchase of the Van Nuys Flight Center, Miller was president
of a television post-production editorial company providing services to
major studios and networks; working on shows such as "Will and Grace",
"Judging Amy", the "Titanic" DVD and many others.
During his tenure in the television industry, Ken worked on a freelance
basis in many production capacities. In 1988 he won an Emmy award as technical
manager for NBC at the Seoul, Korea Olympics.
Having had an interest in the marketing and sales of light aircraft since
college, Ken took one year in 1985 to explore that industry by selling
Piper and Mooney aircraft at Van Nuys. That experience introduced him
to the aviation and airport cultures.
Ken Miller currently holds a commercial pilots license with instrument
and multiengine ratings. Miller has flown his plane from California to
Oshkosh to attend the EAA AirVenture, he has attended many AOPA conventions
and has maintained a very active interest in general aviation. Ken has
had numerous articles published in aviation magazines, the most current
in the January, 2004 issue of Plane and Pilot Magazine.
Currently Mr. Miller is an active member of Angel Flight and flies missions
whenever possible. He has flown over 30 young eagles for EAA and serves
on the board of directors of the Van Nuys Propeller Association.
"With the introduction of the Garmin G1000 equipped Cessnas we look
forward to the reinvigoration of the Van Nuys Flight Center as the leader
in the Southern California aviation market. We will continue to serve
the needs of all our current customers who use the services of the Van
Nuys Flight Center, including flight training, rental, maintenance and
aircraft purchases, and making many new customers as well."
